About the school
International House Kyiv is the Kyiv branch of the International House World Organisation, one of the world’s most respected language-school networks. For teachers and administrators, this means clear standards, high-quality academic processes and stability.
The school has been operating for over thirty years and remains a leading provider of educational services. We have faced every challenge alongside the country — from the first private groups to the introduction of online learning. This is a company with a strong financial and academic foundation: your workload and payments are planned systematically.
Each year, the language centre undergoes inspections by the IHWO head office in London. They assess not the amount of paperwork, but the quality of lessons and compliance with teaching standards. Teachers across the network take part in conferences and exchange programmes, and experience at IH is highly valued in countries around the world.
We are the only teacher training centre in Ukraine offering the full range of Cambridge teaching qualifications. Since 2005, more than 1,000 teachers have trained on our courses. Our trainers work closely with teachers every day: helping new colleagues settle in, reviewing lessons and supporting each teacher’s professional development.
The school offers business programmes, evening courses for adults, children’s departments and Ukrainian language courses for diplomats and expats. Teachers are not restricted to one format: timetables are arranged around the audiences with whom you achieve the best results.

The Academic Director and tutors help with lesson plans, materials and lesson observations. For us, feedback is a tool for development and support, not a reason for penalties or reprimands.
CELTA, DELTA and IHCYLT are recognised stages of professional development at our school. Certified teachers lead more advanced groups, become mentors and join the teacher training team.
Ukrainian and international teachers, client managers and managers work as one team. Any work-related or organisational issues are resolved through open conversation, not internal memos.
Your timetable is arranged individually, taking into account your preferences, family commitments or academic work. Official employment, a benefits package and timely payments are non-negotiable basics.

For teaching positions in corporate online groups, CELTA (or an equivalent international qualification) and C2 are essential requirements. For some other areas, we consider candidates with experience in communicative methodology who may later take CELTA at our teacher training centre.
