Summer learning formats for schoolchildren and teenagers

Choose the format that suits you: an intensive grammar refresher, a daytime language camp or a lively speaking club. Summer 2027 programmes and prices are set after New Year — leave a request and a manager will let you know as soon as they are ready.

Day format

How summer classes at International House are structured

We have combined the intensity of an international Cambridge programme with the relaxed format of a holiday, so that children enjoy learning without feeling tired.

Daily schedule

1.5 hours every day: focus and energy without overload

A daily rhythm from Monday to Friday delivers consistent results without the need for homework. An hour and a half is the optimal attention span for a teenager, leaving the rest of the day for sport, hobbies and summer relaxation.

Methodology

Students do over 80% of the talking in class

No teacher monologues or copying exercises from a textbook. Classes take the form of debates, simulations, case studies and team projects. The teacher moderates the conversation and guides the students’ speech.
