How can I join the free conversation and grammar sessions?

Every current student can attend the weekly speaking clubs free of charge. Sessions last about 2 h and focus on a new, unique topic each time. As places are limited, advance booking is required. Booking opens with the school’s client managers one week before the lesson.

What is the Friday Fun club for children, and how much does it cost?

Friday Fun is a weekly speaking club for children and teenagers who study at International House Kyiv. Sessions include games, quests and discussions and last about 2 h. For students on the school’s children’s programmes, participation is completely free.

How is the family discount calculated?

The −5% family discount is available when two or more members of the same family, such as parents and children or siblings, study at the school at the same time. The discount is calculated individually for each family member and applies throughout the entire period of joint study.

What terms apply to service members, veterans and their families?

Service members get a 50% social discount, their spouses and children 15%, and half-orphans 30%, all on group courses. The discount is arranged on presentation of original supporting documents during a consultation with a manager.

Are there discounts on international CELTA and DELTA teacher-training courses?

The professional teacher-training courses — Cambridge CELTA, DELTA Modules 1–3 and the IHCYLT course — are covered by the Early Bird system: a special reduced price for early registration and payment made in advance of the course start.

Getting a personal discount or joining free conversation lessons is simple: the terms are confirmed by the manager when selecting a group.

Find out your level of English online or at the school office free of charge — with no obligation.

Choose the format and duration
Tell the manager the prepayment period (2, 4, 6 or 9 months), whether you are studying with your family, or your social status.

Receive the recalculation and attend the clubs
The manager will apply the discount to your contract and give you access to weekly conversation sessions, with booking opening one week in advance.

FAQ

We answer the most common questions about prepayment discounts, family and social terms, and booking free speaking clubs.

As a general rule, discounts cannot be combined: if you qualify for several benefits, such as prepayment and a social discount, the largest one applies. The exception is the −5% family discount, which is added to each family member’s individual terms when two or more people study at the same time.
