CELTA-Story of Ukrainian teacher

Do you want to work for a leading language school?
Do you want to be confident in what you’re doing in class?
Do you want to have a sense of achievement?

I did want all the three above so I decided to do CELTA.

You won’t believe if I say it was easy and you’ll be right. Having had more than 20 years of teaching experience I did have a hard time. By the end of the course, I’d been sleep-deprived and from time to time it felt as if somebody else spoke and acted instead of you.

Frightening? Yes, you should be ready for hard work, sleepless nights, criticism from your trainers and peers. You should be ready to only think about lesson plans, rational behind activities, proportion between TTT (teacher’s talking time) and STT (student’s talking time), student centeredness…

Ready? Take a chance and you’ll never regret because It’s worth it!

Since 2007, I’ve been working for International House Kyiv doing one of the most rewarding jobs in the world…
